Published on May 26th, 2017
Business briefings to take place on 14 June in Herne Bay and on 15 June in Broadstairs
RiverOak Strategic Partners is holding two briefings in June for Thanet and East Kent businesses on its plans to reopen Manston Airport. The events, which will be held at The King’s Hall, Herne Bay on Wednesday 14 and at the Pavilion, Broadstairs on Thursday 15 June, both from 10am – 11.30am, will focus on plans to reopen Manston Airport as an air freight hub, creating thousands of jobs for Thanet and the wider regional economy.
George Yerrall, Director of RiverOak Strategic Partners, said: “We would like to invite local employers to find out more about our proposals for Manston. We are keen to ensure that we work closely with local businesses, whether they are involved in the future operation of the airport, or use it to transport goods or employees, to maximise the positive impact of reopening the airport in terms of jobs and prosperity.
“In an increasingly competitive economic climate, the UK cannot afford to lose a long established and strategically significant airport. Manston Airport can make a substantial contribution to the future economy and wellbeing of Thanet and the wider region.
“At the events, businesses will be able to view consultation documents, hear from and talk to members of our professional team and give their feedback. Feedback forms can also be emailed or sent to us, right up until the closing date of the consultation on Sunday 23 July.”
The full consultation period will run from Monday 12 June 2017 to Sunday 23 July 2017.
