Last week, Manston Airport hosted 15 students from the Royal Harbour Academy School in Ramsgate who are supported by the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.

The students enjoyed an archery lesson,  armoured vehicle ride, Virtual Reality experience, a tour of the Manston History Museum and a helicopter flight, as part of the Trust’s programme to support young people in developing their future by equipping them with a winning mindset and support from athlete mentors to focus on self-esteem, relationship building and focusing skills.

Athlete mentor, Claire Bennett said: “It was an epic day, the sun was shining. It was just great for the young people and they were given loads of opportunities. They’ve never been in a helicopter before, and the whole day is something they’ve never experienced. They came away from the day absolutely buzzing and had the best time.”
