Last weekend saw the RAF Manston History Museum hold their Open Cockpit weekend where members of the public enjoyed sitting in various historic aircraft cockpits.

Following today’s short hearing by Mrs Justice Lieven, we are disappointed that this will now go to a full judicial review, albeit on reduced grounds.

We have just been notified that the application for a Judicial Review of the Government’s decision to grant the DCO has been dismissed.

We have watched the video posted on the ‘Wildlife Conservation in Thanet’ webpage on 3 December and, unfortunately, it contains a number of inaccuracies about the proposed redevelopment of Manston Airport, which was recently consented by the Secretary of State for Transport.  We are happy to put the record straight.

Before Manston Airport can reopen as an airfreight hub, new air routes must be approved through a detailed airspace change process set out in the Civil Aviation Publication (CAP) 1616. The airspace change process has now reached Stage 3. 

After more than five long years of detailed scrutiny, RSP is delighted to confirm that it has finally received the redetermined Development Consent Order, from the Department for Transport, for its plans to invest up to £500 million in the potential of Manston Airport, in Kent.
