RiverOak Strategic Partners (RSP) is working to redevelop and reopen Manston Airport as a dedicated air freight hub. As part of that process, RSP is working through the Civil Aviation Authority’s CAP1616 framework to design the flight paths and airspace structure for the airport.
Over the last three months, we shared our proposals with residents, communities, and aviation stakeholders. We held four engagement events: two in-person sessions in Ramsgate (22 April) and Herne Bay (25 April), and two virtual events on 28 April and 6 May. The consultation was promoted through local press, social media and physical posters across Thanet and Herne Bay.
Thank you to everyone who took part.
What happens next
We will now review all responses and publish a Consultation Report setting out what we heard and how it has informed our proposals.
Once the report is complete, we will update our airspace change proposal in light of consultation feedback and formally submit it to the CAA. It will then be for the CAA to make its regulatory decision on whether to approve the proposed changes.
